If you walk into any bookstore at the moment, you will definitely see multiple displays focusing on health, fitness and weight loss. It’s the top of many of our New Years Resolutions. Every season seems to bring popular diet books that claim to be the answer to all your weight issues. Who can forget the popularity of the Atkins Diet or the South Beach Diet? While these diets still have some relevance they have been challenged with many new competitors to the field.
One of the most popular dieting books at the moment is Eat This Not That! and The Flat Belly Diet.
Eat This Not That is actually a pretty informative book which helps you make healthier food choices. It’s an eye opener to the actual calorie count of some of your favorite meals by showing you what is healthy to eat and what is not and comparing them side by side.
The Flat Belly Diet is an actual diet plan for you weight loss.
The book claims:

Another popular “dieting tool” is the book, I Can Make You Thin by Paul McKenna which is also a show on TLC that gives tips on losing weight while focusing on mental control of the process. Some methods include waiting in between bites and stopping when full. This sounds like a diet I would fail at horribly.
