Sensa - the latest weightloss magic solution?
January 16th, 2009

Sensa is the latest weight loss trick to hit the markets.
As the Sensa website explains, “Sensa merely helps you eat less of the foods you love and gain greater satisfaction from smaller portions.”
Based on the impact of tastants — substances which stimulate the taste buds and therefore enhance feelings of satiety — Sensa allows you to eat the food you already like. You simply feel full faster, and that translates into consuming less calories in the long run.
To use the product:
There are two sides of your Sensa shaker, one for salty and one for sweet. The Tastants marked “Salty” are sprinkled on all foods that you would typically use salt and pepper or a savory seasoning on, like meat, fish, pasta, and most vegetables and starches.
The Tastants marked “Sweet” are sprinkled on sweet foods like fruit, pastries, desserts and cereal. Tastants are sodium-free, sugar-free, gluten-free, MSG-free, and calorie-free! Before you know it, your body is craving less and you’re losing weight!
How Sensa Tastants Work to Make You Feel Full Faster
* Scents from Sensa Tastants travel through your nose to nerve receptors.
* The receptors send signals to the brain that stimulate the olfactory bulb.
* The olfactory bulb, in turn, signals the satiety center in the hypothalamus.
* The hypothalamus sends signals to the pituitary gland that triggers the release of hormones that suppress hunger and appetite.
So, is this just the latest fad or does it really work? I’m curious to see some Expo reviews on it!
I still remember when Hydroxycut was supposed to be the latest and greatest way to lose weight:
