We’ve gotten a boatload of video responses to the five questions we posed to our community. ExpoTV video creator spyderbirdman had a lot to say about how the economy is impacting him - watch what he has to say below.
“Hey everybody this is Tom, and today I’m going to answer the question: What impact is the economy having on where and how often you shop? It’s been a big deal for me. I’m working a couple jobs just because of this question. Everything else is going up in price but my wages stay the same so I’m working a lot more hours just to pay for things. Everything’s gone up in price. With me being a clerk I see everything go up in price it’s ridiculous.
Gas can jump up 15 cents in a day. It’s really, really irritating. I’ve been having to really cut back on shopping. I’ve been to a mall once in probably a couple months at this point just cause of how ridiculous everything is. With bills and all that a lot of things have gone up in price even with my bills because of travel.
Its nuts, I can’t stand this anymore. I know in another video I talk about a car that I got. I joke around that the gas station I work for is saying I had to a sell a kidney to buy the car and now I have to sell my other kidney to pay for gas in the car. The economy is just horrible at this point. Most people have gotten their stimulus check back but I still haven’t seen that yet. According to the website I’ll see it hopefully in July but I still don’t trust it’s worth anything. Yeah the economy is horrible right now. I don’t go out shopping much, if I do I’m looking for a sale.
Got a couple pairs of shorts for 20 bucks the other day, they’re a nice pair. But otherwise, I’ll look at things and I used to be able to go ‘ah I can pick that up it’ll be fine’ but no, not anymore. I just can’t do it. I have to just really reserve on everything. Yeah, wanted to go on a trip somewhere in another video had to hold back off that. It’s ridiculous at this point. It’s really affected me a lot.
Yeah, I’ve got a couple posters back there and I see movies but that’s just because I work at a movie theater. So I dunno, I guess if I want anything I’m gonna have to start working there and get the perks from it. I’m gonna have 20 different jobs. This is sad where this economy is right now but hey, that’s my opinion.”
