Random Expo Inquiries - First Edition
October 2nd, 2008
We get a bunch of emails in our customer support inbox that are questions like “how does Expo work?”, “when can I expect to receive payment for my videos?”, or questions about member accounts, etc. But for some reason, we also get random questions that are completely unrelated to Expo or video reviews…and they are totally amusing because they are so far off from what we do here. It’s a mystery to us how these emails even get directed to us in the first place.
Therefore, we’d like to share these emails with you from time to time. Without further ado, here are the first two. If anyone out there actually has an answer to these questions, feel free to comment on this post!
Random Inquiry #1: We found in our church kitchen some Heinz Tomato Ketchup that has a 9/28/07 expiration date. They have not even been opened. Is this still good to be used in cooking or is it best to throw it out.
Random Inquiry #2: Chicken of the sea, solid white albacore in water. where is this tuna caught, where is it packed. Does any of this tuna have anything to do with China, or other countries. If you don’t know for sure, could you find out. thank you.
This concludes the first edition of Random Expo Inquiries. There will be plenty more to come….

I will do my best to answer any random inquiries without doing any research beyond one google search.
1. Where in the kitchen did you find this ketchup? Maybe it’s okay if it was in the fridge, because its high acidity should mean that it takes longer to go bad…but that’s probably been factored into the expiration date, meaning that ketchup is REALLY old. If you found it in some pantry, I’d be wary. If you found it behind the refrigerator, throw it out. If there was one rule I try to adhere to, it is “never eat anything you find behind a refrigerator.” Believe me.
In conclusion, if you’re desperate for ketchup and it was in the fridge, give it a sniff. Otherwise, throw it out. And don’t eat anything behind fridges. Even if you find your favorite kind of pie back there. Don’t eat it.
2. Tuna definitely has things to do with other countries. A lot is caught out at sea, as well as off the coasts of countries like Japan, Brazil, and South Africa.

China just produces their tuna in factories.
That’s not true.
