According to Obsessable:
There are rumors coming from China that Taiwan-based company Wintek is working with Apple to supply touch panel screens for a new Apple netbook-type device scheduled for a Q3 2009 release. Steve Jobs has said they are not producing one but the rumors continue.. maybe they should fill the want?
Google’s Android operating system could be compiled to run on existing netbooks, and recent comments by Google CEO Erick Schmidt are now being construed by several different publications to mean that Google is actually working on building a Google netbook.
I guess we will just have to wait for official confirmation before we can really be excited for the Netbooks..
Until then! check out some other netbooks like the HP Mini 1030NR Netbook reviewed by fjangelone:

With all the celebrating that goes along with the many holiday festivities, it is important to remember to be safe and to not drink and drive or endanger others while still enjoying yourself.
Here in NYC we have the convenience of very easy access to cabs at all times, but out there across the country I know it can often take an effort to find alternative means of transportation. Well, now you can buy your very own portable breathalyzer for your iPhone called the iBreath, to make sure you are ok to make that drive home.
The iBreath:
“The iBreath is an attachment for the iPhone that measures blood alcohol level. For only $79 you can buy this accessory that plugs into the iPhone. The iBreath features a retractable blow wand, and within two seconds, it displays the results on an LED screen. A reading of 0.08 or above sets off an alarm because the blood-alcohol level is above the legal limit.”

There seem to be so many new cellphone lately it’s hard to keep up with what does what. Ofcourse the two hottest phones at the moment are the Blackberry Storm and the iPhone
But, if you are looking to expand your horizons, you can check out some of the other new phones hitting the market.
The Nokia N97 Smartphone:
“The N97 is a Symbian-based smartphone, a touchscreen with full-QWERTY sliding thumbboard. Intended to compete with the iPhone and other high-end smartphones, the N97 will feature a 5-megapixel camera and a 3.5-inch screen with a resolution fifty percent higher than Apple’s offering. The handset should use HSDPA and WiFi for its data needs, and feature an impressive 32GB of integrated flash storage. Nokia plans to release the model early next year.”

Also from Nokia is the Home Control Center:
“a wireless network hub that sends signals to devices in the home. It would be the brain of what’s called a smart home, telling lights to turn off, adjusting thermostats, setting alarms, and more.”

While neither of these products are the first of their kind. It is interesting to see Nokia taking a stand and coming out with competitive technologies.

This would be the second time I have gotten one of these things. They seem like they could be hilarious amounts of fun next time at a sports bar, but the trouble I have is I cant get the thing to program right.

At least for now the support is available online, but until then, its just something I’m going to dangle from my keychain, with the hopes that one drunken evening will amount to a properly programmed keychain universal remote.

In a viral video world, the current topic of course is the presidency. PalTalk has noticed this and has put search engines into overdrive with people searching to actually see if they have in fact been listed as a candidate in the ‘08 elections.
With the launch of the facade News 3 Online, a customized video can be put up with your friend or loved ones name plastered all over the “politics” page of the news stations website. For Example, here is the story about my own accidental bid for the presidency.
http://www.news3online.com/index.php?code=62U162TKl17L418AiGDP Scott Gottfried For President!
An interesting and enlightening breath of fresh air I say in this constantly repeated viral video world.
PalTalk, which makes claim to be the largest video chat community, is using this new viral video to attract new prospects to download the free software and to start video chatting with people all over the world. I have tried PalTalk in the past, perhaps a few years ago when it was still a budding program, the transfer rate was a little slow. I will be downloading this again to try out some of the new community rooms, but past experience will just lead me to think again that I will be in a chatroom full of guys, and one girl, where they are all trying to get her to remove an article of clothing. Unless they have gotten more strict on these events, chatrooms aren’t my forte`.
Setup your friend to think they are the next president here.
