Being a Jersey Shore beach native, having my Ipod crap out on me mid-day is always a royal pain. Well along comes IceTech with the sweetest, best priced Solar Charger I have ever purchased. The sunshine is always full blast blaring at the beach, and this would of course give you a quicker charge than out in the woods, but the main point is its a portable power supply for your handheld electronics!
This thing comes with an array of adapters for you to plug in your cell phones, USB ports, Nintendo DS’s, digital cameras, Ipod etc.
Right now I have it running a home built battery charger connected to an 100mw FM transmitter in my window, and I’m amazed at how well this thing fully charges the 2AA batteries connected to it with the early morning sunshine i get in my apartment.
If you are going on a long trip, and will encounter sunshine at some point or another, this thing is a must have to keep in the car, or your window. I mean heck, its small enough that you can stitch it onto the brim of a hat, and make it run a fan on your face!
