LG Electronics Video Reviews by ExpoTV

ExpoTV, a leading digital word-of-mouth company, developed a user-generated video platform to support LG’s corporate goal of progressing and accelerating the buying process from both prospective and existing LG customers. ExpoTV taps into its robust community of consumers to share their experiences with products in video.

In fact, LG is the first consumer electronics company to solicit for and incorporate video reviews on their website. LG collected and solicited authentic feedback and video product reviews both on ExpoTV.com and LGE.com across all product lines. LG was looking to invite their customers to, in their own voices, share their purchasing experience and decision with others that are considering an LG product. ExpoTV has successfully collected 720 video product reviews of LG cell phones, televisions and appliances. These reviews have been viewed over 280,000 times, totaling over 6,000 hours of engagement with relevant, informative user-generated content on ExpoTV.com, YouTube.com and LGE.com.

ExpoTV provides LG with an integrated solution for enlisting and amplifying the voice of their customers through video. By making these unbiased product review videos available on their site and wherever else they have an online presence, LG empowers its potential customers and expedites the purchasing process. On ExpoTV.com, there is an 11% click to commerce for the electronics category versus average click to commerce rate across all consumer product categories on ExpoTV.com of 6%. Genuine and credible video reviews from peers provide customers with deeper knowledge and greater purchasing confidence, which catalyzes the buying process.
