Breville Juice Fountain Compact 200XL
August 24th, 2008
If you’re looking to buy an affordable juicer, consider the Breville Juice Fountain Compact.
Consumersearch.com is a metareview site that compiles and summarizes reviews from other sources. Their review of juicers found that the high end Breville juicers were rated the best. I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on the high end models so I browsed through the Breville site and found the entry level 200XL.
As you can see in my video review the 200XL chews right through most fruits and vegetables. Some of my favorite fruits are tomatoes, apples, and grapes which all produce prodigious amounts of tasty juice. These can be used to mask the taste of other less palatable vegetables like cabbage. Bananas produce almost no juice. I tried juicing a whole mango the other day and there was a lot of smoke when the pit hit the blades! Fortunately the motor is fine.

Yikes, you’re lucky the mango pit didn’t destroy the juicer! Sounds like it’s nice and sturdy.
